 Message from the President:

Minor Hockey's policy is that ref's should be 2 age groups above the playing age group and linesman's can be 1 group older. We do not want to see kids getting in games over their head resulting in them being verbally abused because they made a mistake, missed a call, etc. The Hi way 14 leagues would like to see adults refereeing all games but this is not possible in small towns and how do these kids get experience.

Minor Hockey also voted on cutting back to the 2 man system for Initiation and Novice as we need to cut our costs. Please advise the people booking officials for your age groups to follow these rules.

The Kerrobert Pee Wees under the direction of coach Brad Murphy, advanced to the third round of Provincial playoffs before being defeated by Rosthern in a tight series. The Pee Wees are anchored with solid goaltending from Dustin Waldner, a standfast defensive core and an explosive offense led by Taylor Murphy. Good luck!

The KDL Bantams under Coaches Adam Scarlett, Lyle Honeker and Wes Theissen and consisting of mostly first year kids finished second overall in the league. They narrowly lost to Wilkie in League playoffs but what a great year they had.

The Kerrobert Midgets had an exciting and successful year under Coach Angus Phillips and assitant coach Trevor Kissick. They made it to the second  round of provincial playoffs and were defeated in League playoffs against Leader. Thanks for some entertaining hockey.
